Mount Toubkal (4167m) is the highest peak in North Africa and provides you with a trekking path to the peak which involves no climbing. The itinerary has been designed for keen walkers, as the trek to the summit is non-technical, but does involve some easy scrambling and snow slopes. The views from the summit of Mount Toubkal are amazing across the mountains to Marrakech to the north and the start of the Sahara to the south.
During the trek to the summit of Mount Toubkal you will be rewarded with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains, green valleys and Berber Villages. If you choose to do this itinerary between November and April two days will involve walking in crampons and using ice axes therefore experience of using this equipment is recommended.
You can choose to complete the ascent in 2 or 3 days or even build it into a longer trek in the High Atlas Mountains. We are very flexible in terms of our itineraries and will happily create a bespoke one that meets your needs and interests. As on all of our treks you will be accompanied by a mule, muleteer and a guide who will take care of everything, all you need to do is trek and enjoy the views and feeling of achievement as you reach the summit.
